Skyline Commissions Solar Electricity System for Affordable Housing

Garfield Hills Apartments - Washington, DC

We recently worked with Preservation Of Affordable Housing (POAH) to install a rooftop solar electricity system at their Southeast Washington, DC property, Garfield Hills Apartments. The 40 kW photovoltaic (PV) system consists of 40 solar panels that convert sunlight directly into electricity and will reduce energy expenses by offsetting the need to purchase utility-generated electricity. 4600 Connecticut Avenue Condominium is a nine story, 270-unit condominium in Washington D.C., constructed in 1957. Last year, we installed a solar hot water system on the roof of the building to augment the existing domestic hot water system.
